OUR STORY
About Fulltime Nomad
Hello and welcome to Fulltime Nomad – our blog about saying no to normal, and yes to a life of travel, made possible by the freedom to work from anywhere.
We’re Radhika and Johnny. We’re a couple with a shared love of travel, food and coffee + a passion for living life on our own terms.
In 2013, after over a year of planning, saving and hemming and hawwing, we sold 99% of our belongings and set out to see the world.
And we’re still going.
We probably didn’t know what we were getting into back then, but 3+ years later, it’s safe to say, we LOVE being digital nomads.
In the last few years, we have travelled, lived abroad and most importantly, built up an online, location-agnostic business that allows us the freedom to work from anywhere (with WiFi).

So why do we this?
It’s about the travel but it’s not about the travel. Simple, right?
Travel and the idea of seeing and experiencing new places excites us every day but it’s a lot more than that.
It’s about flexibility.
It’s about freedom.
It’s about saying no to comfort zones.
It’s about adventure.
It’s about taking back control over our own lives.
This is not just a temporary phase in our lives. This is our way of life.
There is more than one way to live life and we chose to create our own definition of normal.

Who are we?
Hi I’m Johnny.
I was born in Sydney, Australia and moved to the Gold Coast as a teenager. At 16 I took a trip overseas – the first without my parents; and spent a crazy 2 weeks in Bali with my best mate. It all started here.
I don’t need to tell you how much I love to travel so I will tell you a few other things I like: storm watching, meeting interesting and inspiring people, Google maps / Earth, documentaries (in particular, crime), food (Indian is my favourite), coffee and sports.
Hi I’m Radhika!
This is the most nerve-wracking part of travel for me – introducing myself to people. I like meeting people, I’m just an introvert at heart.
I grew up in India and moved to Australia a long time ago. As a result I now identify with a bit of both and bit of neither country.
Things you can expect me to geek out over: Food, coffee, books, puppies, jewellery and pop culture.
